What's your experience with Mixpanel and KISSMetrics

For our startup we've used Mixpanel before, and we've heard a lot of good things about KISSMetrics. Has anyone used both? What's your feedback on the 2? Which one would you suggest using?

We've used both before. I think it really depends on what you want. In our opinion, we found KISSMetrics to do better in people searching. Meaning that we were able to get a hang of what the user was doing on our site better than what Mixpanel was able to do for us. Mixpanel on the other hand I think is a better interface, and does real-time just a lot better. If possible, I think the mix of them would be very good. However, both services require payment, so...depends on your budget.

I currently use both. KISSMetrics gives us a better view of our conversion funnel. Mixpanel offers better segmentation of customers and a better interface for viewing the data. I have also been much happier with the customer service at Mixpanel. The last difference is that Mixpanel allows you to see data through an API, while KISSMetrics does not. That was disappointing for us since we use a Geckoboard in the office. I think we lean more toward KISSMetrics but only you can really make that determination.

The most important thing I have to say with either one of these is to set them up through Segment.io. We started using them about 2 months ago and it rocks! You just put their code on your site and then you can change analytics services with the click of a button. You only have to put the Segment.io code on your site and not the Mixpanel code or KISSMetrics code. A genius idea!!!

I hope this feedback helps.
